Unless a user consents to the distribution of their private information, the Triangle Transit Authority, the Charlotte Area Transit System, the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation, the Cape Fear Breeze and the North Carolina Department of Transportation will not sell, lease, or disclose non-public identifiable records to private businesses, organizations, or individuals, within the limits of North Carolina law. State and federal laws ensure a person's right to access public records and information. Public records include any documents or records made or received pursuant to law or ordinance in the transaction of public business.

Participation in a carpool or bikepool program is an individual decision. The Triangle Transit Authority, the Charlotte Area Transit System, the Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation, the Cape Fear Breeze and the North Carolina Department of Transportation expressly disclaim and shall not have any responsibility or liability for any claims, expenses, or damages resulting from any individual's participation in a carpool or bikepool.
